🧊 Community Ice Bucket Challenge 🧊 The Ice Bucket Challenge for ALS research was a 2014 trend that took social media by storm and raised millions to help find a breakthrough for this terrible disease. Well it’s been 12 years and former Tennessee Titans Running Back Chris Johnson is pushing to bring it back in the wake of his diagnosis. As a lifelong Titans fan, Jordan can’t not participate, so he’s gonna do it Sunday at 3 PM in the Garden Canopy of Brouwerij DuBois. Come watch him make a donation of $250, challenge three others, and then get iced! But don’t stop there. You too can participate. Bring a towel and a set of dry clothes, your phone, and a list of three people to challenge. We will do the rest! We have the buckets, the ice, and we will even hold your phone to take your video for you. And if we get another 20 people to participate, BD will donate an additional $250 that same day! We want a crowd on hand to root on those that are taking the challenge. And if you don’t want to get cold and wet, feel free to just cheer or make your own donation. Sounds of Salem: Evolution of the American Keyboard 🎼🎹🎶 The Sounds of Salem concert series concluded on Saturday with a wonderful medley of talented musicians. Showcasing keyboard instruments such as the clavichord and harpsichord, which filled homes with music, while the pipe organ anchored Moravian worship. During the 19th century, reed organs and melodeons brought music into churches, homes, and family parlors. By the late 19th century, the piano had become America's most beloved keyboard instrument. Thank you to the talented musicians and those in attendance.
