🌿Botany has been a well-documented hobby in Moravian towns for centuries, and schoolgirls were taught relevant botany skills in school such as natural history and still-life painting. 🌿Girls' School Botany is a program that explores both the artwork and the botanical successes and failures of notable Moravian women of Salem in the 1800s. From July 16 through August 30, experience Unboxed: Art Beyond the Museum, the inaugural exhibition in NCMA Winston-Salem’s new downtown art space. Admission is free and open to the public. Unboxed brings together artists who have contributed to the Museum’s Portable Gallery, an education initiative that places original works by North Carolina artists directly into schools across the state. Last year alone, the program connected more than 2,000 students with contemporary art. A huge belated thank you to @wshouseofcards for joining us this past Sunday on July 12 for our Go Catch 'em All Fest! We challenged Kaleideum staff in Pokémon Scarlet, Violet, or Pokémon GO, searched the exhibits, hallways, and Liberty Plaza for hidden Pokémon cards, and completed a Pokémon-themed scavenger hunt. Great job! Throughout the day, Kaleideum Staff and friends teamed up with fellow Trainers to take on Mega Mewtwo Y in Pokémon GO raids during Pokémon GO Fest.
