AI Double Feature with panel discussion at Aperture Cinema and UNCSA
Passed · YESTERDAY · Aperture Cinema
This year, our community has been having a lot of tough conversations about AI, data centers, sustainability, and the future. That’s one of the reasons we are so excited to work with Science on Screen and our partners at @uncsafilm to host an AI Double Feature this weekend. First, we’ll watch a film that imagined what AI could look like years before its arrival with Speilberg’s “A.I. Artificial Intelligence.” Then, we’ll join UNCSA for a screening on campus of “The AI Doc: How I Became an Apocoloptimist” from the creators of the Academy Award winning film “Everything Everywhere All at Once.” The film will be followed by a panel including Oscar-winning editor Davis Coombe and Brian Cole, Chancellor of UNC School of the Arts. These films will certainly change how you think about these topics, no matter where you stand on them now, and that’s an important superpower of film. As a small independent cinema and nonprofit, we’re always looking for ways to help our community engage more deeply in the issues of our time. Want to join?
